What to Do with Chipped Tooth While Biking

Posted by SEObucks  |  No comments

Kids’ rough play is something that goes with their age. As such, it comes as no surprise then that kids get into accidents more often than adults. These accidents even extend into riding bicycles when parents try to teach their kids how to balance on two wheels. In the process, kids can fall and hurt themselves. Aside from scraped knees and elbows, children can go through something more painful, falling on their faces and chipping a tooth.

Well, with a chipped tooth, there is usually no pain involved, except when the gum is affected. If your child ever does get a chipped tooth, don’t stress yourself out. There are pediatric dental offices in Council Rock that can fix a chipped tooth.

You probably know that there is no first-aid measure to take for a chipped tooth. The repair should be done by a kids dentist in Central Bucks. However, getting an appointment with a dentist on short notice may not be possible. This means that you have to do something before you can get help from a qualified professional.

What can you do? Inspect the chipped tooth to assess the damage. A small chip can be fixed by smoothing out the edges. On the other hand, when a part of the tooth gets separated from the main tooth, you need to find the broken piece and soak it in milk solution or saliva. You need to do this so that the broken off part can be preserved before a dentist can put it back in.

But since you still cannot take your child to the dentist, you can help your kid by keeping him from eating anything hard. Eating solid food can lead to more tooth damage. Also, you can tell your child not to use the affected part of the mouth when chewing. If you see blood, you can use gauze to apply slight pressure to stop the blood flow; then you can put a moistened tea bag on the gum. If there is pain, you can give your child a pain killer for kids.

Small chips are not usually considered a kids dental emergency in Council Rock. With a small chip in a tooth, a visit to the clinic of a gentle dentist in Bucks County usually does the trick. The dentist will just polish the chipped portion of the tooth. However, for a bigger chip, you need to find a kids dentist in Central Bucks that can see your child the next day at the latest. The dentist could suggest that filling material be used to prevent tooth decay in Bucks County

Just be sure so set up a follow up visit in the pediatric dental offices in Council Rock at least one week after the repair on the chipped tooth is completed. A chipped tooth while biking is pretty common. It is just hoped that your kid does not develop a trauma after his accident.
