Botox and Fillers: Weapons for Face Wrinkles

Posted by SEObucks  |  3 comments

Now that you have come to that age when you are not worrying about acne anymore, you might be seeing fine lines now creeping on your face. Along with facial scars and skin discolorations, fine lines and wrinkles are your top hindrances in your hopes of maintaining your smooth and clear skin.

Thanks to the amazing advances of aesthetic medicine, you can now get rid of those unsightly wrinkles without the need to go under the knife. And to makes things even better, these non-surgical treatments have become more affordable and accessible to practically everyone. All it takes is a few tiny injections and you will well be on your way to maintaining or regaining youthful skin.

Below are two of the most popular skin tightening treatments that you can avail of today from your local clinics and spas.

Botox

Botox
Botulinum toxin Type A, popularly known as Botox, is an FDA-approved substance that is used for a variety of cosmetic procedures. Botox treatments in lower Bucks are performed with the injection of Botox into the problem areas. This is very effective in correcting wrinkles, frown lines, laugh lines, and hyperhydrosis.

Upon injection, the toxin will hinder the release of the muscles in the treated area that are used in contracting the muscles, leaving them relaxed and unrestrained. Results can already be apparent in only a matter of minutes after the administration of the toxin. This effect will last for up to 4 months or longer before another injection is needed. You will have to regularly get them in order to maintain effect.

Fillers

Otherwise known as derma fillers, this is a treatment that is similar to Botox as it also treats facial wrinkles related to skin resorption. Fillers can either be temporary or permanent. Temporary fillers are those that are applied to the superficial part of the skin and results in a quick effect of instantly filling in fine lines and wrinkles for a smoother contour. Permanent fillers, on the other hand, are injected deeper in to the fatty tissues of the skin, directly above the facial bones. This allows the skin cells to produce more collagen, improving the plumpness and contours of the skin.

There are two derma fillers that are currently very widespread today. These are Restalyne skin tightening and Juviderm Lip Injections in Philadelphia. These are mostly used in filling in nasolabial folds (popularly known as laugh lines), marionette lines, and lipstick lines. Some swelling has been reported right after the treatment but this should subside in about 24 to 48 hours.

If you have any plans of getting these or other skin tightening treatments, it is important that you choose a trained and experienced practitioner. Botox treatments in lower Bucks and Juviderm lip treatments in Philadelphia can bring in potentially serious side effects especially when done erroneously. To aid with fast healing and long-lasting results, seek advice from licensed diet and weight loss doctors for tips on the most appropriate diet and physical activity.

  1. Personally, this week I will go to http://www.skinvitality.ca for a Botox treatment, because I had enough of my wrinkles. I don't like it at all how my skin looks like and a doctor from this clinic assured me that the results will be great and I will look amazing... very satisfied.
Of course, it's a procedure that must be do with moderation... what's too much is bad!

  3. These procedures are better than wasting money on various creams which claim to make your face wrinkle free, i have tried many of them but they simply don't work, contact a doctor to find more about fillers and botox.
